Context

With the increasing cases of children with speech impairment, there is an urgent need for parents to give their children the needed help. While parents are constantly in the search for speech therapists, there is a shortage of qualified speech therapists and the few therapists available are extremely expensive, and the average parent can not afford their services

The goal of Talktu is to give children with speech impairment access to speech therapy virtually. The platform will have pre-recorded activities curated by specialists which the children can take with the guidance of their parents, minders, teachers and other speech therapists. Through TALKTU, parents with kids with speech impairments can give their kids the needed therapy.

Also, parents who require one on one sessions can access a directory of specialists to engage for their child’s speech therapy. Parents will also be able to have one off consultation with speech therapists on the platform.

The Silent Struggle

Millions of children struggle with speech delays and impairment, but parents often face some barriers to getting help such as

Late Diagnosis: Parents may not recognize early signs of speech impairment.
Expensive Therapy: Traditional speech therapy and schools for speech impaired children are really expensive
Engagement Issues: Kids often find speech exercises boring and ineffective.
Lack of Expert Guidance: Parents feel lost in supporting their child's progress.

Laying the Groundwork: Mapping Talktu’s Brand Identity

Creating Talktu’s brand identity required a deep dive into parents needs and the challenges with kids on the spectrum

I kicked off with comprehensive UX research, which consisted mostly of competitor analysis of similar products like (Speakeasy, Gemiini, Wellness hub, Mable therapy) and visual benchmarking. These insights shaped the foundation of a distinct and meaningful brand identity

Defining the Visual & Verbal Identity

Committed to a user-centered approach, I built a brand that is warm, playfull, and professional. Our goal was to create a platform that reassures parents while engaging children in a fun, structured way

Navigating solution through an Intuitive & Engaging Experience

Upon completion of the assessment, a learning plan is generated through an AI-powered analysis of the assessment
